Grand Prix Tire and Automotive Service is a tire and auto repair and service facility located 10 minutes east of Downtown Los Angeles in Monterey Park, California. Family owned and operated since 1971, we have built our reputation on years of providing affordable prices, a great selection of tires, and always delivering a high level of customer service.

Our Brief History...

Born in 1971 in an alley off Adams and Colorado streets in Glendale, California, Grand Prix Tire and Automotive Service was the brainchild of brothers George and Tony Guldalian. Tony was just 30 years old, a married father of one at the time and still new to his surroundings in Los Angeles. He was trying to make a living installing tires for $2.50/hour in Manhattan Beach around the time his older brother George was laid off with hundreds of others by defense contractor Lockheed-Martin. The brothers brainstormed and knew that the growing Glendale community would be the ideal market for a new kind of tire shop. Their mission was simple, they said to each other "Let's treat all our customers the way we like to be treated. We'll offer competitive prices and perform all our services in an fast and professional manner." Before they new it they outgrew the small start up location and moved to a larger shop in Glendale and added another location in Monterey Park in 1979 where currently Tony's son Chris and his hardworking staff cater to the communities tire and auto service needs.
